Tough Stuff: Emergency Resources for Tampa Bay Parents

Today the topic on Being Savvy Tampa is “tough stuff”. What do we mean by this? Being Savvy would like to organize and list resources that are useful for Tampa Bay parents to have when times get tough. In Florida, we need to prepare for everything from hurricanes to sun burns. Ten Family Friendly Tampa Bay Charity Walks or Runs

This past weekend, I did something I haven’t been able to do in a long while. I participated in a charity walk. My family and I walked 5 miles in downtown Tampa for the March of Dimes. It was a fantastic event, there was lots of fun for the children, all sorts of giveaways and we had a great time as a family. But most importantly, I began teaching my children lessons about charity, community and philanthropy. Why hadn’t I participated in one of these before with my children?
