Kids can Eat for Free in Tampa Bay

July 21, 2009

Going out to dinner as a family these days can cost more than most parents want to pay. But thanks to Savvy Source, there is no need to eat in for every meal. After doing some research, we’ve pulled together a list of Tampa Bay area restaurants that offer kids eat free nights.

However, please be aware that many restaurants won’t list kids eat free nights on their websites and so many of these specials are found out through word of mouth. Therefore, they are subject to change at any time or between locations. We would suggest that you always call your closest restaurant location first to confirm.

Mondays

  • Moes:  Kids eat free with an adult purchase

Tuesdays

Wednesdays

Multiple Nights

  • IHOP: Monday – Thursday between 4 and 8pm, children 12 and under.
  • Perkins: Monday – Friday, all day

Weekends

Note: Chik-Fil-A does offer kids eat free specials but is usually varies by location so check with your local franchise.

Also one of the most comprehensive websites listing where kids can eat free in the Tampa Bay area would be found here.  And check out the “Kids Meals Deals” website, you can also follow them on twitter.

Please share any kids eat free meal deals that you've heard about in the Tampa bay. Any updates or changes to the specials listed above are always welcome too so that we can provide you with the most accurate information. We look forward to hearing your comments - happy dining!

The heat is on and Tampa Bay families need some cooling off. I’m not sure about you, but nothing hits the spot like ice cream these days. Here are just a few of Tampa’s more popular ice cream stops that you might want to check out if you haven’t already.

  • Kups n Kones:  We love this one for the kid’s play area at the back.
  • Tanya and Matt’s: Have your child color a printable found here, bring it with you and receive a free kids cone.

What are some of your favorite ice creams spots in Tampa Bay? Please share them in a comment below.

A Savvy T-Rex Restaurant Review

January 07, 2009

While my family spent some time in Orlando during the week after Christmas, we went to dinner at the new T-Rex restaurant in Downtown Disney. This enormous dinosaur themed restaurant is new to the area and we were excited to check it out. With dinosaurs, meteor showers and an excavation pit, it was certainly an adventure for the whole family! Knowing that the parks were at capacity during  Read more...
