Kids can Eat for Free in Tampa Bay

Going out to dinner as a family these days can cost more than most parents want to pay. But thanks to Savvy Source, there is no need to eat in for every meal. After doing some research, we’ve pulled together a list of Tampa Bay area restaurants that offer kids eat free nights.
However, please be aware that many restaurants won’t list kids eat free nights on their websites and so many of these specials are found out through word of mouth. Therefore, they are subject to change at any time or between locations. We would suggest that you always call your closest restaurant location first to confirm.
Mondays
- Golden Corral: Between 5-9pm kids 10 and under eat free
- Moes: Kids eat free with an adult purchase
- CiCi’s Pizza: Kids eat for $1.99
Tuesdays
- Beef O Brady’s: 4-8pm, kids 12 and under
- Lonestar Steakhouse: All day, 2 kids eat free with the purchase of one adult entrée.
- Joe’s Crab Shack: After 4pm
- Denny’s: Between 4-10pm
Wednesdays
Multiple Nights
- IHOP: Monday – Thursday between 4 and 8pm, children 12 and under.
- Perkins: Monday – Friday, all day
- Ale House: Kids eat free all July 2009
Weekends
- Steak and Shake: Saturdays and Sundays
- Tuscan Oven: Sunday nights
Note: Chik-Fil-A does offer kids eat free specials but is usually varies by location so check with your local franchise.

In the next month, I will be planning two little boy birthday parties for my sons. Their birthdays are only days apart so I have named this time of year our “birthday season”. But I have been growing weary of the junky foods children consume at birthday parties. After so many trips to the grocery store, I have come to wonder if my children know where fresh vegetables actually come from. Sure, they understand the concept of farms and how they work, but I think it’s high time they learn more about growing fresh, organic produce at local community farms. I also think it’s time we visit area farmers markets more often. I will list some community farms and farmers markets here so that we can all benefit from freshly grown local produce on a more regular basis.

While my family spent some time in Orlando during the week after Christmas, we went to dinner at the new T-Rex restaurant in Downtown Disney. This enormous dinosaur themed restaurant is new to the area and we were excited to check it out.
