Before there were DVD players, or VHS players for that matter, there were real film projectors set up in my friend’s living room with every neighborhood child gathered around chomping on popcorn. It didn’t matter which movie, the novelty of showing a movie at home was enough to hold all of our attention. And once video players were available, we would still gather and watch our favorites from home over and over. The novelty of watching a movie from home just never seemed to wear off.
